Election day is November 4. Are you prepared to make your voice heard?

Voting is one of the most powerful ways to participate in democracy. It’s your opportunity to choose leaders who reflect your values and shape decisions that affect your community, your state, and your country. Every vote matters!  When you cast your ballot, your voice joins those of your neighbors and fellow citizens — speaking up together for the future we share.
No matter who you support or what you believe, your voice counts. Be informed, be prepared, and exercise your right to vote!
Requirements to Vote
In Minnesota, you must:
- Be a citizen of the United States;
- Be a resident of Minnesota for 20 days before the next election;
- Maintain residence at the address given on the registration form;
- Be at least 18 years old on Election Day;
- If previously convicted of a felony, have completed or been discharged from your sentenc
- Not be under a court‑ordered guardianship in which the right to vote has been revoked;
- Not be found by a court to be legally incompetent to vote.

If you would like to register online or by mail, it needs to be sent by September 21st. YOU CAN ALSO REGISTER DAY OF!

If you need to register in-person, ensure that you have one of the proof of residence. Visit the Secretary of State website for a list of proofs or download the Election Day Registration factsheet.
