How Do we contact Think Small Institute (TSI) for questions about e-learning courses and/or instructor led trainings?

Note: While leaving a voice mail or sending an email, please give us the participant’s full name, email address as registered in the system. Also include the exact name of the course / ILT / CDA / Learning plan you are referring to. This helps us in locating your information and getting back to you.

Are Instructor Led Trainings (ILTs) sessions recorded?
Institute training recordings like ILT trainings are recorded but not distributed to participants.

How Do I see a list of all the courses I have enrolled in?

Access the Learning Center, to see your personalized dashboard, where you will see all the courses you are enrolled in.

Are TSI Account and Develop Account the same?
TSI is separate from Develop, Their Develop membership/account is separate from a TSI account.

I have a Develop Account. Where can I put my Develop ID on my TSI account profile?
Update your TSI Profile here. Update the field designated “Individual Develop ID”

What is your refund policy for training?
All registrations are final. We are unable to offer refunds or transfers. Please carefully review the date and title of your session for accuracy before registering.
For Child Care Aware of MN Training, Registration closes 7 days prior to training start. No registrations will be accepted after.
If training cancels for any reason, Think Small Institute will notify participants as soon as possible and refund the full training fee.

For Minnesota users:
In order to receive training hours in Minnesota’s Develop system, you must be present for the duration of the training and be actively participating. If you miss 15 minutes or more during any point of the training, you will not receive training hours.
After your training ends, please allow 3 business days for credit to appear on your Develop Learning Record.

What KCF does a course cover?
KCF credit hours are listed in the course description in the course catalog.

What is a CEU?
Think Small Institute is offering CEUs from IACET (International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training), who, along with the U.S. Department of Education task force, has defined the CEU standard of measurement as 1 CEU = 10 contact hours. So, a 2-hour course would only earn .2, not 2.

Is Think Small IACET Certified?
Yes, we are IACET certified.

When will I receive credit for my course?
– In Minnesota:
You should expect to see credit appear in your Develop account three business days after you complete a course. Please refer to our training policy here, and please contact support if you have not received credit.
– All others:
A certificate of participation is provided to learners who have attended and participated in professional development training events but who reside outside of Minnesota and do not wish to earn MN Develop training hours. Certificates of participation act only as proof of attendance and/or completion and are not guaranteed to qualify for clock hour credit in any state outside of Minnesota.

Do I need a Zoom account to participate in an online training?
– An account is not required but highly recommended. You will be prompted to download Zoom when you click the “Join Meeting” button in the course session.
– All ILT / Online synchronous timings are in the CST / Central Time Zone.

Can I purchase courses for my team in bulk?
Yes, we can help you with that.  Contact support and we can get a payment link setup or work with you to send you an invoice.

How do I access my eLearning course?
After purchase, you will find your On Demand eLearning courses in the ‘Courses’ column in your Learning Center.

What is the best device to access e-learning courses?

Devices such as PC computers (laptops/desktops) are strongly recommended for the best learner. Use a modern and updated browser to access your courses

How long do I have access to my courses?
Our self-paced courses allow for growth of early educational knowledge at a pace that works for you. You may save progress and resume at a later time, but please note that learners have twelve months from first accessing the course to complete the course.
How many times can I re-take the course?
Learners will only receive credit for each course once. You may review the course content after completion by clicking “Start Learning Now”- bringing you back into the learning view.
What type of credit will I earn?
For Minnesota learners, A Develop account and ID number is required to receive training credit. You can find your Individual ID number on the right side of the summary page of your Personal Profile in Develop. Please do not email us your Develop ID directly; please make sure you add it to your profile here.
If you are outside of Minnesota, you will be able to download a certificate of participation that includes CEU credit hours. Users are responsible for submitting their own clock hours.

How Do I determine if a course is eligible for CEU Credits/ Clock Hours?
Credit hours are listed for each course in the course description in the course catalog. Other information, such as CDA Competency Area, MN KCF Content Area, Level, State Approval are also part of every course description in the course catalog

When will I see my credit in Develop?
Please allow up to three business days after completion date for course attendance to be reflected on your Develop Learning Record.

Where can I find the Privacy policy, Terms and Conditions, acceptable use policy and the EULA?
