Child Care Aware of MN Market Rate Survey

From October 5, 2026, through January 29, 2027, licensed child care providers across Minnesota are asked to participate in the Market Rate Survey (MRS). The survey is conducted every three years by Child Care Aware of Minnesota and is a federal requirement for states receiving child care funding.

Survey responses help inform discussions about Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) reimbursement rates and provide valuable information about child care rates across communities.

Who Should Complete the Survey?

All licensed:

Family child care providers
Child care centers

are encouraged to complete the survey during the survey period.

How to Complete the Survey

The easiest way to complete the Market Rate Survey is through the Program Update Tool.

Access the Program Update Tool: Update Tool Login Page

The Program Update Tool allows providers to update program information, including rates, hours, ages of children served, and current openings. Information entered also updates the provider profile displayed on ParentAware.org. You may also access the Program Update Tool on Parent Aware’s website.

Find the right digital PDF below based on your program type (Open the document and save a copy to your computer BEFORE you start completing the document. Fill out the form, save again, and attach to an email to UpdateTool@ChildCareAwareMN.org):
