Lisa Thompson is an educator, trainer and RBPD specialist.  Her first role as an educator came after she earned an elementary teaching degree from St. Catherine’s University.  But she soon found her passion in early childhood education. She has worked in various direct care environments, including 25 years as a family childcare provider in St. Paul.  She has devoted much of her career to collaboratively developing support services for family child care providers, with an emphasis on building cultural competence and advocating for the profession. After completing a master’s program in advocacy and public policy, she joined the Think Small team helping new childcare businesses get off to a great start.
