During this online Zoom course, we will discuss the role of early math in early childhood and how it develops the ability to think critically and solve problems. We will also explore strategies to increase opportunities for young children to develop these skills throughout their day through play.

Kimberly Giles Giertz has been working in the early childhood field for over 27 years and has over 30 years of experience educating adults. She has experience in both Child Care Center and Family Child Care settings. Kimberly works with the National Family Child Care Association as an accreditation observer and as a Professional Development Specialist with CDA. She has worked in the areas of professional development, trainer support and mentoring through Child Care Aware of Minnesota. Kimberly also has experience in developing educational materials and life skills coaching. She is a blogger, author and inspirational speaker. One of her passions is inspiring people to gain wisdom and knowledge to succeed.
