“I Want My Baby to Read”: Supporting Parents in Guiding Early Language and Literacy Development

Parents want their child to be the smartest child, having them reach milestones faster than the next. Learn how to work with parents to help them understand the development of infants and toddlers and how expecting babies to read is not developmentally appropriate. Learn how to answer commonly asked questions parents often have as well as literacy activities that are appropriate for infants and toddlers.

My name is Wendy Prokosch. I am an in-home family childcare provider, as well as a trainer, wife, mother, and grandmother.  I have four grown children and as of now 6 grandchildren. I opened our childcare in 2007 with my husband joining me in 2008. In 2015 I graduated from college with my Associate degree in Early Childhood Education and became a trainer shortly after.  I love training and helping providers become the best providers they can be!
