YOU already have the important expertise! The Early Childhood Advocacy Leadership Program is focused on providing you with the skills to become an effective early childhood advocate.

Early Childhood Advocacy Leadership Program Overview

The training will be delivered in three 2-hour sessions. If you work in a family child care, child care center, Head Start program, or public early childhood program, you can apply! No previous experience necessary!!

We will offer one in-person and two virtual cohorts this fall. If you have a Develop ID, you’ll receive 6 hours on your learning record for completing the series. The cost is $50 for the program. Scholarships are available.

You’ll learn:

  • How to identify your elected officials and connect with them.
  • What the state legislative process looks like, and how you can engage.
  • About current early childhood advocacy efforts, especially related to the early childhood workforce
  • How to share your personal knowledge effectively with policymakers.

You will also:
